摘要 | Two-way satellite time and frequency transfer (TWSTFT) and GPS precise point positioning (GPS PPP) time transfer are two independent techniques for the generation of coordinated universal time. The advantages of TWSTFT are its high accuracy, characterized by calibration uncertainty, and long-term stability, but studies have shown that TWSTFT is disturbed by diurnal variations. Its short-term stability and high resolution characterize GPS PPP. However, GPS PPP solutions contain day boundary discontinuities that are reflected in their relatively lower long-term stability. Therefore, combining TWSTFT and GPS PPP based on their respective advantages effectively improves the robustness of accurate time transfer. We present a time transfer combination method based on the Kalman filter. As the average rate of TWSTFT results, the derivative of GPS PPP results together with TWSTFT data is used as observation measurements. A Kalman filter then obtains the final combined solution. Consequently, the diurnal variations that exist in TWSTFT practically disappear in the combined solution on different baselines, and the short-term stability of the combination is significantly improved. On different baselines, the time deviation (TDEV) of the combination solution at short averaging times (up to 32 h) is approximately 4-8 times lower than the solution using only data of TWSTFT. The TDEV of the Kalman filter combined solution is also better than the Vondrak-Cepek combined solution and GPS PPP solution for averaging times less than 4 h. This may be related to the Kalman filter being an optimal estimation method, which requires more observation information than the Vondrak-Cepek combined filter. |
